Worship Leader (Odessa Campus)

Job Purpose:

To assist in creating engaging environments through music, presentation, and creative elements, and to
recruit and develop musicians and other worship leaders for the Odessa Campus

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Leads the Worship Team for the Odessa Campus
  • Leads in worship on weekend services through singing or playing an instrument
  • Leads weekly Worship Team rehearsals
  • Trains band and vocal team leaders to assist in rehearsals
  • Collaborates with the creative process and creative team to develop engaging environments
  • Researches new and trending songs to present in collaborative worship planning efforts
  • Actively recruit and train worship leaders
  • Actively recruit and train band members
  • Responsible for the upkeep of band equipment and instruments on the Odessa Campus
  • Maintains Planning Center music/volunteers database for the Odessa Campus
  • Maintains the band and vocal schedule for the Odessa Campus
  • Uploads chord charts, lyrics, and Mp3 to Planning Center for the Odessa Campus
  • Creates audio click-tracks for worship songs and performance videos
  • Coordinates spiritual development and skill training activities for the volunteers
  • Participates in pastoral care for band and vocal volunteers on the Odessa Campus
  • Other duties as assigned
