Senior Adults and RETRO Worship Venue Pastor
Part-Time: 20–30 hrs.
Reports To: Exec. Pastor of Ministries
Crossroads Church in Odessa, Texas, is seeking a dedicated and talented Pastor to lead our Senior Adults Ministry and oversee our RETRO Worship Venue, in a part-time capacity.
The RETRO Worship Venue gathers on Sunday mornings at 9 a.m. in the Chapel. This service welcomes those who enjoy traditional and southern gospel-style music, country music, and hymns. Following worship, a sermon from our Lead Pastor is broadcast from the auditorium on a large screen.
Job Purpose
The Senior Adults Pastor & RETRO Worship Venue Pastor will lead efforts to connect senior adults to Crossroads Church and guide them in fulfilling our vision: “For the ONE.” This role will focus on creating opportunities for Crossroads’ senior adults to embody our mission: “Follow the ONE, Reach the ONE, Gather as ONE, Serve the ONE, and Be the ONE.”
Job Responsibilities
- Worship Planning: Oversee worship planning for the RETRO Worship Venue and lead the RETRO worship team in rehearsals and Sunday services.
- Ministry Oversight: Coordinate and lead the Senior Adults Ministry at the campus level, including “Prime Time,” our weekly seniors’ event on Tuesday mornings.
- Leadership Development: Recruit and develop leaders to serve as small group leaders.
- Event Planning: Plan and execute Senior Adults events at the campus level.
- Church Engagement: Attend church services and participate in church-wide activities.
- Community Promotion: Actively promote the Senior Adults Ministry to both the church and the local community.
- Interdepartmental Coordination: Collaborate with Next Gen departments to facilitate mentoring opportunities.
- Event Planning: Assist in planning church-wide and global events.
- Service Opportunities: Create opportunities for seniors to serve within the church and community.
- Volunteer Training: Train, develop, and coordinate all Senior Adults media and tech volunteers.
- Support Campus Pastor: Assist with campus needs as directed by the Campus Pastor.
- Budget Management: Oversee budgets for assigned ministries.
Desired Skills
- Musical Background: Experience and gifting in traditional and southern gospel worship.
- Communication: Strong public speaking and one-on-one communication skills.
- Counseling: Proficient in counseling.
- Management & Development: Skills in personnel management, vision casting, budget management, leadership development, and motivational techniques.
- Technical Proficiency: Basic knowledge of ProPresenter, CCB, Ableton, PCO, Vista, or similar tools.
