Worship Pastor (West Odessa Campus)
Reports to: Campus Pastor, West Odessa
Full-Time Position
Purpose: To provide leadership and excellence in programming and presentation that leads people into genuine, engaging worship; and to develop a Worship Arts community that is producing fully devoted followers of Christ. This person serves as the Worship Team director and works closely with the Crossroads Creative Team and West Odessa Campus Pastor in worship service development and implementation.
Skills/Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in the area of Worship Ministry or similar field or at least 2 years of successful experience in the worship field. The candidate must possess administrative and organizational skills related to service programming and implementation. The candidate must possess management skills to lead effectively and utilize volunteers.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Leads the Worship Team for the West Odessa Campus
- Leads in worship on weekend services through singing and/or playing an instrument
- Leads weekly Worship Team rehearsals
- Creatively collaborates with staff across multiple campuses on set design, lighting features, worship elements, and service flow
- Collaborates with the Creative Arts Pastor in the development and implementation of possible worship events (e.g., Easter, Mother’s Day, Memorial Day, Father’s Day, Fourth of July, Fall Campaign, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Eve)
- Researches new and trending songs to implement into worship or as stand alone presentation songs
- Interviews and assesses prospective Worship Arts volunteers for West Odessa
- Develops volunteer worship leaders
- Works with the Campus Pastor on stage upkeep and changes to systems and media
- Coordinates with the Creative Team & Campus Pastor on maintenance and replacement of instruments and band gear
- Leads and Empowers volunteers to program lights and the digital sound board for weekend services and major events on Campus
- Maintains the band, vocal, and media schedule for the West Odessa Campus
- Participates in pastoral care for band, vocal, and media volunteers on the West Odessa Campus

- Crossroads membership is required
- Commitment of personal loyalty to the Senior Pastor, each member of the Pastoral and Administrative Staff, Ministry Leaders
- Personal discretion concerning information of church life and ministry share into the normal flow of staff relations
- Should be creative, have a passion for children, be high energy, hard working, and have the ability to motivate others
- Be detail oriented, flexible and decisive with the ability to organize and coordinate work, set priorities, and meet deadlines
- Maintain open and offense-free relationships with the vocational and Pastoral staff (inner personnel problem, solve it)
