NextGen Coordinator

Title: NextGen Coordinator

Reports to: Central NextGen Pastor

Purpose: The NextGen Coordinator provides administrative support for the Central NextGen Pastor and the department. Work with the Central NextGen Pastor providing administrative support, coordinating programming, and editing curriculum for all campuses.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Follow up on administrative details that are decided in team meetings. Recording ideas and decisions.
  • Communicate, remind, and post important dates & details to the Campus Staff on each campus
  • Oversee the programming and editing process (ProPresenter, Planning Center, etc.)
  • Ensure that all outgoing content is complete and excellent
  • Input all computer graphics, songs, and sound effects for large group
  • Purchase, organize and distribute curriculum (252, First look, Club 252, & XP3)
  • Collect unused curriculum/supplies and restock them
  • Archive all content for future reference
  • Maintain resource room and all supplies
  • Assist with special events as designated by Central NextGen Pastor
  • Manage Central NextGen Pastors schedule and calendar
  • Proof and approve documents written for NextGen ministry
  • Schedule meetings led by the Central NextGen Pastor
  • Organize and manage NextGen ministry projects, retreats, and/or off-sites
  • Assist in planning small group promotion
  • Submit building usage and stage announcement request forms for NextGen Ministry Events
  • Maintain NextGen Ministry Calendar
  • Assist in administering camp for the NextGen Ministry
  • Attend staff meetings.
  • Administer the work of the ministry by encouraging teamwork and mutual support and providing leadership and nurture to volunteers who serve in the ministry
  • Maintain current CPR/First Aid certification for adults, children, and infants
  • Any other duties assigned by Central NextGen Pastor

Desired Skills:

Associates Degree in the area of Children’s Ministry, Administration, Education, or similar field or at least 1 years of successful experience in working with children.  The candidate must possess administrative abilities and organizational skills related to event program planning and implementation.

  • Crossroads membership is required
  • Commitment of personal loyalty to the Senior Pastor, each member of the Pastoral and Administrative Staff, Ministry Leaders
  • Personal discretion concerning information of church life and ministry share into the normal flow of staff relations
  • Should be creative, have a passion for children, be high energy, hard-working, and have the ability to motivate others
  • Be detail oriented, flexible and decisive with the ability to organize and coordinate work, set priorities, and meet deadlines
  • Maintain open and offense-free relationships with the vocational and Pastoral staff (inner personnel problem, solve it)
  • Maintain appropriate boundaries in working with the opposite sex in ministry
